Charity 2008: RNID Scotland

This year, we are proud to support RNID Scotland, the charity which supports deaf and hard of hearing people. 

Deafness and hearing loss touches so many people's lives in Scotland, and yet is so overlooked.  RNID relies entirely on voluntary donations to support their employment, outreach, support and development services.  So, most of our fundraising throughout this financial year will be for RNID, and we hope you can help us support a very worthwhile and overlooked cause.

About RNID Scotland

RNID Scotland represents the estimated 758,000 deaf and hard of hearing people who live in Scotland, as well as their families and others who work with them or for their benefit.

RNID Scotland is part of RNID, the largest charity working to change the world for the UK's 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people.

In Scotland, we provide a range of services and projects for deaf and heard of hearing people, and advise organisations and groups that are striving to become more accessible to them.

Our Employment, Training and Skills Service provides support for deaf and hard of hearing people who are looking for work or who want to develop their career.

We have a range of equipment available to buy to help improve the everyday lives of deaf and hard of hearing people.

Our volunteering project is aimed at increasing the number of volunteering opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing people and supporting exisiting volunteer networks through capacity building.
