Buchanan Galleries shopping centre is in the middle of Glasgow city centre, and the heart of a city which loves to shop. We’re home to around 90 of the best retail names, including stores which aren’t found anywhere else in Glasgow – or even Scotland.

Changes to Buchanan Galleries
The works, which started in September, will create a new look for the South end of the centre. Two new retail units with double-height glass shop fronts will be created facing onto Buchanan Street. As part of the same works, two additional new smaller stores will be created inside the lower ground floor of the centre.
This phase, which has been approved by Glasgow City Council, is scheduled to be finished by summer 2008.
“We are delighted to be starting work on the first phase of our development proposals,” commented Nick Davis, Development Director at Land Securities. “Demand for well-configured retail units fronting Buchanan Street remains strong and we are confident of attracting new international brands to Glasgow.
“Buchanan Galleries will remain open for business during the construction phase and we aim to cause as little disruption as possible to our customers and the Greater Glasgow community.”
There should be no disruption at all for customers, as all of the works will be contained at this end of the centre, and will be screened behind hoarding.
